Georgia Wensley (née Collins)

Georgia is a Senior Associate at Maddens Lawyers.

Since joining the firm in 2021, Georgia has built a strong reputation for her ability to guide clients through complex legal processes with clarity, empathy and determination.

Georgia is passionate about helping ordinary people navigate the legal system and advocating for groups who have been wronged. This commitment has seen her become one of the lawyers working on the large-scale Dr Lanzer Class Action.

Alongside her class action work, Georgia has a strong interest in employment law, assisting both employees and employers to understand their rights and obligations.

Georgia completed her Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University, graduating in the top 3% of her class and earning a place on the Dean’s Merit List – recognition of her academic excellence and commitment to her studies. She broadened her experience through internships and a study abroad program in London, giving her a global perspective that enriches her legal practice today.

In addition to her legal work, Georgia is actively involved in the profession through the Law Institute of Victoria’s Executive Committee. She was appointed the Young Lawyers Regional Representative in 2023 and 2024, and has served since 2025 as the Co-Chair and Regional Emerging Lawyer Representative. In this role she is able to engage and represent the views of regional law associations and communities across Victoria.

Outside of the legal industry, Georgia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and playing netball at her local netball club.
