Georgia Wensley (née Collins)

Senior Associate
LLB

Georgia is a Senior Associate at Maddens Lawyers.

Since joining the firm in 2021, Georgia has built a strong reputation for her ability to guide clients through complex legal processes with clarity, empathy and determination.

Georgia is passionate about helping ordinary people navigate the legal system and advocating for groups who have been wronged. This commitment has seen her become a leading lawyer in the Class Action and Litigation departments.

Alongside her class action work, Georgia has a strong interest in employment law, assisting both employees and employers to understand their rights and obligations.

Georgia completed her Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University, graduating in the top 3% of her class and earning a place on the Dean’s Merit List – recognition of her academic excellence and commitment to her studies. She broadened her experience through internships and a study abroad program in London, giving her a global perspective that enriches her legal practice today.

In addition to her work at the firm, Georgia is actively involved in the profession through her work with the Emerging Lawyers Executive Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria. She was appointed the role of Regional Emerging Lawyer Representative in 2023, and has also served as Co Chair of the Regional and Suburban Emerging Lawyers Committee since this time. In this role she is able to engage and represent the views of regional law associations and communities across Victoria. In 2025, she received an Award for Leadership from the Law Institute in recognition of her efforts.

Outside of the legal industry, Georgia enjoys travelling, playing netball at her local netball club and spending time with her friends and family.
