Tatiana Haas

Associate
LLB; GDLP

Tatiana is an Associate at Maddens Lawyers.

Working primarily across the Wills, Deceased Estates and Commercial departments, Tatiana plays an integral role in guiding executors and families through some of the most sensitive and complex legal processes.

Tatiana first joined Maddens Lawyers through a university internship in 2022. Shortly after, she was offered a Law Clerk position in the Deceased Estates team, where she quickly demonstrated her capability, professionalism and genuine care for clients. Her steady progression within the firm reflects both her dedication and growing expertise.

Tatiana regularly advises executors on their responsibilities and risks, prepares complex probate applications and liaises with asset holders and professional services. She recognises that estate administration is a highly sensitive area and finds that supporting the emotions of estate executors is a large but unrecognised element of what she does. The processes can be legally confusing and time-consuming and executors have an exponentially hard role in trying to navigate these matters whilst grieving. Tatiana and her team balance the procedural requirements with compassion, ensuring clients feel informed, supported and understood.

Tatiana enjoys the ongoing learning that comes with legal practice, valuing the fact that no two days are the same. She finds great satisfaction in resolving complex issues and helping clients navigate challenging circumstances with clarity and confidence.

Originally drawn to law through her love of debating and public speaking, Tatiana discovered a deeper interest in law during her later years of high school and throughout university. After spending a year in Brisbane, she returned home to Warrnambool, where the diverse practice areas and strong reputation at Maddens made the firm a natural fit.

Tatiana completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Deakin University in 2022, followed by her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (GDLP) at the College of Law. She was admitted to practice in June 2023 by fellow colleague Georgia Wensley. She is currently completing a Master of Laws (Commercial and Corporate Law) at Monash University.

Outside of work, Tatiana loves live music and sport, and is always up for a concert or a Geelong Cats game. On a typical weekend, you'll find her spending time with her friends or diving into one of her many hobbies.
