Falls festival stampede

In December 2016 a group of patrons at the Falls Music and Arts Festival (the Falls Festival) in Lorne, Victoria were left injured and traumatised after a stampede at the music event. It is alleged that at approximately 9.50pm on Friday 30 December 2016, a large group of people were injured when attempting to exit one of the venues within the event.

On 15 March 2017, Maddens Lawyers issued proceedings on behalf of all persons who were injured (either physically or psychologically) as a result of the incident.

The defendant has now admitted liability for injuries sustained as a result of the crowd crush that occurred at the Falls Music and Arts Festival in Lorne on 30 December 2016.

The parties are presently in the process of negotiating the amount of compensation payable to group members in the class action.

If you were injured in the crowd crush, and wish to pursue a claim in the class action please contact Jess Walker from Maddens Lawyers as a matter of urgency.
