2019 Cudlee Creek fire
In March 2021, Maddens Lawyers launched a class action in the South Australian Supreme Court on behalf of those impacted by the 20 December 2019 Cudlee Creek bushfire. The respondents to the class action are SA Power Networks (First Respondent) and Michael and Marianne Georgiou (Second and Third Respondents)
You are a group member in the class action if you suffered personal injury and/or loss of or damage to property as a result of the Cudlee Creek Fire.
A confidential settlement has been reached with the Second and Third Respondents. Court ordered notices pertaining to the settlement can be viewed below.
The claim against SA Power Networks has advanced to trial. The trial commenced in the Adelaide Supreme Court on 10 November 2025 and is anticipated to run for 5 weeks.
